Join me as we travel one of the most beautiful roads in the world. We will explore and photograph waterfalls, bamboo and eucalyptus forests, pristine coastlines and stunning state and national parks. This is a full day photo tour (12+hrs). This unique tour is guaranteed to create memories and extraordinary images for you to cherish that’ll last a lifetime. With this workshop you have an option to add an extra day to get the full experience of all that Hana has to offer without rushing it all into one day.
Who Is This Workshop For?
This workshop is open to all skill levels. Photographically speaking, the trip is open to anyone that loves the art of photography. Some moderate hiking and walking is involved. We'll leave early in the morning and shoot sunrise on the North Shore of Maui. After, we'll stop for a quick bite for breakfast then start The Road To Hana. Getting to Hana can take anywhere from 3-6hrs depending on how many stops we make. This trip is more about the journey than it is the destination. Each workshop is custom tailored around what you want to see and photograph so each time it is different!
Workshop Instructor
Collin leads private workshops in Hawaii and has helped many clients hone their skills and find their artistic vision. He has a passion for adventure and loves teaching what he has learned over the years from trial and error. In this workshop we'll create stunning compositions using the rule of thirds and simplicity and when to break the rules. I'll teach you how to shoot in manual mode and how to control your (Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, depth of field). How to choose the correct lens for the scenes composition and lighting. How to find unique foreground elements (anchor points) to enrich the story of the scene. How to create compelling abstract images. I'll also teach you some of the basics of panorama photography as well as some of the more technical ways to capture a scene (focus stacking, exposure blending).
